FAQ'S

Q1: How far in advance should I book a saxophonist?

We advise booking the saxophonist as early as possible. Saxophonists are extremely popular and get booked every other day. If you want to make sure to take advantage of the show of your favourite one, book at least two months ago. We always help our clients with last-minute bookings to make their occasion memorable.

Q2: What types of music can you play as a saxophonist?

I have a diverse skillset shaped over several expert years as a soloist. The saxophone is a brilliantly versatile instrument, and therefore, based on my lovely client's preference, I can play jazz, swing, blues, funk, R&B, soul, contemporary and some of every one's all-time favourite classical notes set to captivate audiences.

Q3: What types of events have you previously performed at?

I have performed on multiple occasions at different locations. Some of my most recurring event performances have been under the following circumstances:

  • Christmas Parties/ Events
  • Vernissage Events
  • Wedding Events (proposals, pre-reception, reception, ceremony)
  • Baptism and Christening Events
  • Garden Parties
  • Birthday Parties
  • Company Corporate Events
  • Funerals

Q4: Can a saxophonist take requests?

Absolutely yes! Mostly, the saxophonists play the requested songs happily, but it would be better to check their song list first. Your saxophonist might need to be more familiar with your music, so be mindful of that. Although saxophonists prepare a list of songs to play before the show, many can accommodate last-minute requests.

Q5: What kind of music can a saxophonist play?

A saxophone is a versatile and classy musical instrument capable of playing anything from classical to pop to jazz. At the same time, most saxophonists specialise in one or two genres; it's common for professionals to play almost all popular genres, including jazz, funk, R&B, ska, reggae, and others.

Saxophonists will have a long list of their most practised and played songs so that you can choose from there. You can also mention your requests when booking to avoid any inconvenience.

Q6: How long will a saxophonist play for?

Usually, a saxophonist will play in two sets for 45 minutes each. Of course, the timings are flexible and can be customised depending on your event's schedule. Remember that the player will need short breaks of 10-15 minutes to catch their breath.

Make sure to schedule your event with your saxophonist and discuss how they set their times, as they may be able to personalise it as per your requirements.

Q7: Which parts of my event should the saxophonist play?

Depending on the type of your event, you can customise the timings. For instance, if you are thinking of hiring a wedding saxophonist, you must expect a DJ with them. However, the best time to play saxophone is in the afternoon or the evening to make the atmosphere more lively. Undoubtedly, saxophonists are excellent in providing a smooth background for a cocktail reception, a daytime wedding event, birthday dinners, or bringing siome extra magic to the dance floor.

Q8: Can a saxophonist play alongside a DJ, or will they play solo?

It depends on the saxophonist you hire or the kind of event you want. Many will play alongside high-quality backing tracks to keep the ambience vibrant. Some try to play solo and show their art with a saxophone only. Others may love to accompany a professional DJ as standard. You can ask in advance and offer your choice of musical entertainment you wish for.

Q9: Where do you offer services?

Nuremberg, Frankfurt, Fürth, and Aschaffenburg are the major towns where you can book us with a single click. We can also travel for you and add magic to your event.

Q10: How much does a saxophonist cost?

Hiring a saxophonist can cost you something between £300 to £700 depending on several factors such as your locality, the length of the event, the number of saxophonists, the number of songs to be played, their popularity, and experience.

Moreover, most professionals have set a radius from their residence and charge extra for any travel outside their vicinity.

Q11: How much space does a saxophonist need?

For one saxophonist, a space of 2x2 meters is more than enough. Most of the time, saxophonists love to play while standing and can easily fit in tight spaces or walk around. However, you must provide 4x4 meters of space and a sitting arrangement for a group of saxophonists.
